The Ebook and Reading Habits

I was looking for articles online when I found this article on the Wall Street Journal's website. It is an interesting read on how the ebook might change how people view books. The artcle describes the possible effects of ebooks upon how people read books. In the article, the author Steven Johnson suggests that ebooks would become an impulse buy, but that people would be more likely to hope around from ebook to ebook much as they do with online articles right now. Johnson also suggests that ebooks will be written more for getting better Google search results and enticing people to continue to buy with a cliffhanger in the free first chapter. All and all, Johnson suggests that people will read and write ebooks in the future much as articles are already written for the web.
