In my essay on Frankenstein, I had linked to a copy of the novel available on Project Gutenburg. Project Gutenburg is a website dedicated to digitizing books in the public domain and hosting them on their website. Using this website, a person would be able to read many books online as well as download books in many different formats. Before the digital age, a person would have had to either rent a book from the library or bought the book at a bookstore. Because of Project Gutenburg, a person now has many classic books that they could read for free just by looking the book up on the website.
